This Privacy Policy explains how No Contact Days (“No Contact Days,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services, including nocontactdays.com.

1. Summary

No Contact Days is designed to help you track no-contact days, pause before reaching out, write unsent thoughts, and receive gentle card-style reflections from Lumo. Some app content may stay on your device. Some features, such as Ask Lumo, require sending limited information to our backend and third-party providers. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide: text you enter, no-contact context, support emails, feedback, and any other information you choose to share.
  • No-contact app data: day count, stage, streak status, reset events, saved cards, preferences, and settings.
  • Unsent writing: notes or messages you write inside the app. Some of this content may remain on your device, depending on the feature.
  • Ask Lumo inputs: your question, day count, stage, language, and minimal context needed to classify the question and generate a card.
  • Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, language, country or region, time zone, anonymous installation identifier, IP-derived approximate location, crash data, diagnostics, and timestamps.
  • Usage information: interactions with features, screens viewed, button taps, ad states, errors, and performance data.
  • Advertising information: rewarded ad events, ad loading status, ad completion status, ad unit, ad network, impression or revenue data when available, advertising identifiers, and related metadata.
  • Communications: email address, message content, and attachments if you contact support.

3. Sensitive content

Your entries may include emotional or relationship-related content. Please do not enter information that you do not want processed by the app, our backend, AI providers, advertising partners, analytics providers, or other service providers needed to operate the app.

No Contact Days is not designed to collect highly sensitive information such as medical records, legal documents, financial account details, government identifiers, or emergency information. Do not enter such information.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve No Contact Days.
  • Track no-contact progress, stages, saved cards, writing spaces, reminders, and app settings.
  • Operate Ask Lumo, including classifying questions, checking eligibility, showing rewarded ads, and generating cards.
  • Detect high-risk, off-topic, or redirect cases and show fixed safety or boundary messages.
  • Serve, measure, and improve rewarded ads and ad-supported features.
  • Analyze app performance, crashes, errors, and feature usage.
  • Prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, protect security, and debug issues.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. AI features

Ask Lumo may use third-party AI providers to classify your question or generate oracle-style card text. We send only the information needed to provide the feature, such as your question, day count, stage, language, and limited technical metadata.

AI-generated content is symbolic reflection only. It is not therapy, diagnosis, treatment, professional advice, or a prediction of what another person feels or will do.

6. Advertising and ad partners

No Contact Days may use rewarded ads. You may be asked to watch an ad before drawing an Ask Lumo card. Advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, ad impressions, ad completion status, and ad performance data.

We may work with advertising and mediation partners including, but not limited to, Google AdMob, Pangle, Liftoff, and other ad networks or mediation services. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy policies, developer terms, and your device settings.

You may be able to limit ad tracking, reset your advertising identifier, or manage personalized ads through your device settings.

7. Analytics, infrastructure, and other service providers

We may use third-party providers for hosting, databases, security, logging, analytics, crash reporting, AI processing, advertising, customer support, and app distribution. These providers may process information on our behalf or according to their own terms.

8. Legal bases for processing

Where required by law, we process information based on one or more legal bases, including your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, compliance with legal obligations, and protection of users or the public.

9. How we share information

We may share information:
